Fall is Here water is cooling down
We had some excellent weather the last few months. The water is now starting to cool off which will bring better chances for Dolphin and Sail Fish in October and November. We like to see a sea surface temp between 78 to 80 degrees for the fall Dolphin run. Also towards the end of October and first few weeks of November can be some really good Wahoo fishing if there is a good push of Mackerel. It has been a good bottom bite with lots of smaller fish, trigger fish, sea bass and vermilion snapper. The Amber jacks have been around but the come and go frequently from the wrecks.
The Fall mullet run has started along the beach that brings in the big Bull Red Fish that can weigh up to 40 pounds. The near shore trip can produce good amounts of theses fish this time of year. Almost all of them will be to big to keep but they put up a great fight.
